Ambassadors club
Welcome to the Ambassadors page!
We are glad to introduce this unit for you to learn more about the Ambassadors’ movement at Seliger.
WHAT IS IT?
The Ambassadors of Seliger are a group of people committed to the Seliger movement – active young leaders who are willing to make it more influential and ready to spread the idea of Seliger around the world. The Ambassadors Honorarium (AH) are a team of outstanding individuals who not only tackle responsibilities but also gain well-deserved advantages at Seliger.
The unit emerged after the First Seliger International Forum in 2010 when the Organising Committee noticed a number of young active leaders willing to contribute to the Forum evolution and development, and to make it better.
In 2011 most active individuals from all over the world became Ambassadors Honorarium for the Second Seliger International Forum. Joint work and close collaboration between the OC and AHs has resulted into the Second Seliger Forum that received over 700 participants and international speakers from the world top universities, business and political structures.
AH 2012.
Following the development programme of the Forum the AH unit has undergone sufficient changes.
This year the Third Seliger International Youth Forum will host 7 Ambassadors from different regions of the world as well as introduce the Ambassadors Club that will unite the AHs of all the previous Forums. For more details, please, see Regions and Ambassadors Club section.
We are also glad to announce that the Competition for 2012 AH is now open. The application deadline is May 10th 2012. Please, refer to the section How to become an Ambassador for more details.
AMBASSADORS MISSION.
The Seliger AH mission includes 3 main stages:
-
In the run-up to the Forum;
-
During the Forum (on site);
-
After the Forum.
All the three stages require active participation in the Forum development and close collaboration with the Organizing Committee.
In the run-up to the Forum we expect the selected AHs to spread the Seliger movement in their region and encourage new young leaders to join the Seliger Forum in summer. This stage will also include the following:
-
Blogging at www.interseliger.com to share emotions, provide assistance to fresh applicants by answering questions and giving guidance;
-
Acting as representatives of Seliger in their countries distributing information, making presentations about Seliger, encouraging friends, university students or other talented and ambitious young people to be part of the fast growing Seliger community;
-
Staying in close contact with the Organizing Committee to contribute to the educational programme, recommend, amend, improve, and experience the fame of being a very important person.
During the Forum we expect the AHs to be the first reference authority for the new participants and an efficient link between the OC and the participants. The objectives also include:
-
Representing their region and preforming as academic supervisors for more than 2 dozen Seliger participants;
-
Attending special meetings with top-ranking guests;
-
Communicating to the Seliger folk the latest updates about the educational program, forthcoming activities and VIP-visitors;
-
Helping resolve conflicts among international participants in case they arise.
Of course, Ambassadors Honorarium will enjoy all the advantages of being chosen to this respected corps.
After the Forum the OC requires AH team to make the final report that covers the results achieved during the forum. Further collaboration with the OC and Seliger Community is also desirable.
After the AH functions terminate the person automatically joins the Ambassadors’ Club (see AH Club).

AH CLUB
The Ambassadors Honorarium Club is founded specially for those people who have devoted as much time and effort as they could to influence further development of the Seliger Community. Once became an AH of the Forum the person automatically joins the club.
The main requirement for the members is to stay committed to the Seliger Community, continue to collaborate with the Organizing Committee and to keep in touch with one another.
The OC presumes it would be impossible not to cheer the most active and promising people after the Forum is finished. So the goal of creating this Club is to endow the AHs with new opportunities and benefits after they’ve terminated their functions within the Forum.
AH BLOG
As said previously blogging is one of the core activities of the Ambassadors Honorarium on the way to the forum. The Organizing Committee requires timely and topical posts in the special AH blogging section at www.interseliger.com.
The AH blog should report the inception process in brief, include the information for new participants, cover the Seliger news, activities, Forum’s educational programme.
The posts should be made at least once a week.
